FOOD VENDOR BOOTHS
Rules & Regulations
- The
GFWC Oviedo Woman’s Club offers space for Food Vendors. We have
limited space for this type of booth and it is divided to accommodate
both commercial and non-profit organizations.
- The
GFWC Oviedo Woman's Club is loyal to our food vendors who have done a
great job with us in the past and therefore, they are given
priority. A majority of our food vendor space is
occupied by returning vendors, however there are booths available for
new vendors.
- We
strive to offer a variety of food items at our event, so vendors are
selected on the type of product being offered. We have
several kettle korn, hot dog, and ice cream vendors already, so novel
food products will enhance your chances of being selected.
- The
application process for Food Booths is different than other booths;
please contact the Food Vendor Chairman via email, food@greatdayoviedo.org
to discuss your food item, your organization,
and the cost of booth space. Include a picture of your food
item(s) and booth set-up, if possible. If selected, you will be
contacted by the Food Vendor Chairman and given information regarding
submission of an application and payment.
- Each
booth is approximately 20’x25’. Electrical hook-up may be
available with advance notice. Generators will only be allowed
with prior approval. There is more flexibility to place booths
that don't require electricity or generators.
- NO BEVERAGES of any kind can be sold
from your food booth.
- It
is the responsibility of your organization/business to comply with all
Florida State Food Handling Regulations and Oviedo Fire Department fire
safety standards. Any fine for non-compliance will be the
responsibility of your organization. You cannot cook under a tent. Any
booth with an open flame (grill) must have a properly working and
non-expired fire extinguisher. Tents should be weighted or tied
down to prevent blowing over. Any electrical or other cords
running on the ground need to be secured with tape down their entire
length or covered to prevent tripping hazards. Any gas/helium tank must
be secured so that it will not tip over. The Fire Marshall will visit
your tent area prior to the start of the festival to ensure you comply
with all fire safety standards.
- You
must bring your
own garbage bags and containers and remove all garbage
from the premises. Use of the dumpsters on
the school grounds is not permitted.
- In
the event of an Event cancellation, food vendors have the option of
receiving a refund of 90% of their booth fee or having 100% of their
booth fee applied to next year's festival.
- No
refunds after October 1st.
